Focus Session

1–2 weeks

A narrowly scoped engagement built around one specific question the organization is already asking. "Why is our data team producing reports nobody uses?" "Should we be investing in AI tooling now or waiting six months?" "Why did our last modernization effort stall, and what would it take to unstick it?"

One question. Focused attention. A written answer.

What this looks like in practice

The question is defined during a scoping conversation — not in advance and not from a template. The work that follows is built entirely around that question: the interviews, the review, the analysis, and the written response are all shaped by what the organization actually needs to know.

The written answer is plain-language, defensible, and actionable. It includes a short set of immediate recommendations the team can begin executing on their own, and a clear sense of whether deeper work is warranted — and if so, what type fits.

Why this engagement exists

Most organizations are not ready to commit to a month-long diagnosis the first time they encounter new operational thinking. They have a specific question keeping them up at night, and they want to know — quickly — whether the person they're considering can actually help.

The Focus Session is built to demonstrate judgment rather than describe it.
